ARDUINO

Arduino Mega 2560 Board

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.Arduino can sense the environment by receiving input from a variety of sensors and can affect its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other actuators. The microcontroller on the board is programmed using the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring) and the Arduino development environment (based on Processing). Arduino projects can be stand-alone or they can communicate with software running on a computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP).
The boards can be built by hand or purchased preassembled; the software can be downloaded for free. The hardware reference designs (CAD files) are available under an open-source license, you are free to adapt them to your needs.Arduino received an Honorary Mention in the Digital Communities section of the 2006 Ars Electronica Prix. The Arduino team is: Massimo Banzi, David Cuartielles, Tom Igoe, Gianluca Martino, and David Mellis. Credits.

We know we aren't the first ones to bring arduino to you nor are we gonna be the last. But having worked with quite a number of boards and the Arduino platform for the past 2 years, we thought it would be an injustice to keep the knowledge with ourselves. so we will be posting some consolidated knowledge over here about Arduino which you otherwise would have to frantically Google around 10 times due to thousands of TIPS!
On the Electronics Hub we bring you arduino because of a simple reason:
Rise in the number of electronics hobbyists and circuit enthusiasts & the simplicity in the use of Arduino.
So go out there and browse some of our projects based on the arduino platform.
Free tutorials on arduino will also be given both on the hardware as well as software from the very scratch of microcontrollers and  digital design to programming them in C based on demand. They will be put up here or mailed to you as per your wish of taking the tutorial. As far as you have any doubts, you can always contact us at:

To download arduino:
Download Arduino Software

To buy Original Arduino Boards:
Online Buy

To buy it from a authorized dealer visit arduino.cc and check the country location and store name nder the BUY section.

Where we buy it from!
Hobby King: Damn Cheap!
Arduino from Hobby King

For arduino Boards, there are many options available as to buying them apart from the original source i.e. Italy and there authorized dealers across the globe. There are many local brands such as Freeduino ,Induino etc. which make them and sell them as cheap as INR 600-700 for Arduino Uno a piece. Similarly Arduino Megas are availaible at around INR 1600-1700. These are boards as far as we have tested them: work as good as the originals.
DIFFERENCE?
The brand name that's it.

Now how do they make it?
If you must have read the first line carefully, Arduino is open source. So everything and anything about arduino except the board obviously is free of cost and ready to download without registration.
As for the arduino boards: They have uploaded Eagle files (only run on Eagle 6.2 professional & up)associated with each board. So you just need to download it and send it to your local PCB house and the get the PCB in 5 days. Rest about components; they hardly cost you about INR 700-800 including the FTDI chips (Atmega 8MU or 16MU or FT232RL) and the Atmega Controllers.

So stay Tuned for projects on Arduino.!
